Book a callWhy work with Dsignr Digital?
Dsignr Digital combines strategy, branding, web design, development, eCommerce and search optimisation under one roof. You work with a South African team that focuses on practical solutions, clear communication and measurable business outcomes—not just attractive visuals.
How long has Dsignr Digital been in business?
Dsignr Digital was founded in Gauteng in 2015, building on digital design and development experience dating back to 2013. Since then, we have grown from an independent design practice into a multidisciplinary digital agency serving South African and international clients.
What types of businesses do you work with?
We work with ambitious startups, growing SMEs and established organisations. Our experience includes healthcare, finance, SaaS, AI, manufacturing, legal, professional services, eCommerce and both B2B and B2C businesses.
What does your website design process involve?
Every project begins with discovery to understand your business, audience, goals and technical requirements. We then move through planning, content and UX, visual design, development, testing, search optimisation and launch. You receive regular opportunities to review the work and provide feedback.
How much does a website cost?
Website pricing depends on the number of pages, design requirements, content, integrations and custom functionality. As a general guide:
- Small 3–5-page websites: R5,000–R15,000
- Typical business or B2B websites: R12,000–R50,000
- Custom eCommerce projects: from R35,000
- Portals, web applications and highly customised platforms: from R50,000
We confirm the scope, timeline and final estimate after an initial consultation.
How long does it take to design and build a website?
The timeline depends on the project’s size, content readiness, functionality and how quickly feedback is provided. After discovery, we provide a project schedule with clear milestones. Complex eCommerce stores, portals and integrations naturally require more time than a straightforward business website.
Do you provide website hosting and ongoing maintenance?
Yes. Our managed hosting and website care plans cover security updates, backups, monitoring, performance and ongoing technical support. This keeps your website secure, reliable and ready to grow after launch.
Do you include SEO and GEO in website projects?
Search visibility is considered throughout our website process. We address technical SEO, mobile performance, page structure, metadata, crawlability and content foundations. We can also provide ongoing SEO and GEO services to improve visibility in traditional search and AI-assisted results.
Can you redesign or improve an existing website?
Yes. We can assess an existing website and recommend whether focused improvements or a complete rebuild will provide better value. The recommendation depends on its technology, performance, security and ability to support your goals.
Do you work with clients outside Johannesburg?
Yes. Although we are based in Rosebank, Johannesburg, we work remotely with clients across South Africa and internationally using video calls, shared project tools and structured review stages.
Can you integrate our website with other business systems?
Yes. We build web applications and API integrations connecting websites with CRMs, payment gateways, booking systems, learning platforms, analytics tools and other business software.
What do you need before preparing a proposal?
We need a clear understanding of your goals, audience, required functionality, available content, preferred launch date and approximate budget. A short discovery call helps us recommend an appropriate scope and prepare a more accurate proposal.
What eCommerce platforms and South African payment gateways do you support?
We design and build online stores and checkout flows on the stack that fits your catalogue, margins and team—not a one-size-fits-all template.
Platforms we work with include:
- Shopify — managed hosting and fast launch with third-party SA gateways (Shopify Payments is not available in South Africa).
- WooCommerce on WordPress — strong SEO and content marketing without a platform transaction surcharge on top of gateway fees.
- Craft CMS — custom content models and bespoke commerce when off-the-shelf plugins are not enough.
- Custom builds — portals and integrated checkouts via our web apps & API integrations service.
Payments and fulfilment: we integrate PayFast, Ozow, Yoco, Peach Payments, Stitch, PayGate, Netcash, SnapScan and similar providers. We configure sandbox and live credentials, webhooks and order status, plus shipping zones, courier rules and delivery integrations so checkout totals match operations.

Do I own my website, domain and code—and how do you handle POPIA?
Ownership: on completion and settlement of the project fee, you own the website we deliver—design, content structure and bespoke code—subject to third-party licences (fonts, stock imagery, plugins or SaaS) listed in your proposal. Your domain stays registered in your name; we hand over hosting and CMS access at launch with documentation so your team or another supplier can maintain the site.
POPIA: we build practical privacy foundations—forms that collect only what you need, consent and notice copy aligned to your policy, cookie and analytics choices where tracking is used, and secure handling of submissions. We are a web and marketing agency, not a law firm; your privacy policy and direct-marketing rules remain your responsibility, and we recommend legal review for regulated industries.
Corporate briefs often document domain owner and data processors in the statement of work—see how to write a website RFP in South Africa.
Do you work with corporate procurement, SLAs, and mid-market RFPs?
Yes. We respond to structured briefs and RFPs from marketing, IT and procurement—especially mid-sized and corporate organisations that need comparable quotes, clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Discovery and signed assumptions (goals, integrations, languages, launch constraints)
- Security, hosting, staging and change control
- Service levels for response times, maintenance windows and post-launch hypercare
- Acceptance criteria, training and handover documentation
- POPIA, accessibility (WCAG) and SEO/GEO where your tender weights them

Do you offer Google Ads, social media, and ongoing SEO separately from a website build?
Yes. A new website and ongoing marketing are scoped separately so you can launch first, then scale what works.
- Google Ads — paid search strategy, campaigns, tracking and landing page support: Google Ads management. Ad spend stays in your Google account.
- Search engine optimisation — technical SEO, content, local visibility and GEO: Search Engine Optimisation.
- Social media marketing — organic and paid social: Social Media Marketing.
- Email marketing — newsletters and automation: Email Marketing.
Every website project still includes search-ready structure and performance basics. For budget split guidance, see SEO vs Google Ads for South African businesses.
